The Preikestolen!

Norwegian the Pulpit or literally translated the Preacher’s Chair

When I planned my first trip to Norway in 2012 without researching any attractions, we more or less stumbled upon Preikestolen by chance. No place I have ever seen fascinates me as much. Since then, a visit to Preikestolen has been mandatory on every trip to Norway.

From the parking lot to Preikestolen, it is 4.1 kilometers and 330 meters in elevation. We reached the top in an hour today. Breathtaking! The climb 🙂 and the view. No rain today. The Nordic gods were kind to us.

Around 1:00 PM, we rented a cabin at Wathne Camping, 30 kilometers from Preikestolen, and then drove to Preikestolen in jeans and sneakers. Now we are back in the cabin, enjoying ourselves. Matthias made us fried noodles with vegetables 🙂

Tomorrow, we head towards Kristiansand to take the ferry to Denmark.

the last steps…
