Why Norway?

Norway, a country known for its stunning nature, rich history and unique culture, offers travelers an unparalleled experience.

From the majestic fjords to the vibrant cities, there are countless reasons why this Scandinavian gem is a must-see for every traveler.

Norway has a rich history dating from the Viking era to the modern era.

Norway has as many inhabitants as Baden-Württemberg and most of them are in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger. To put this into words: We have already driven north of the Arctic Circle for over 40 minutes in a row and have only seen one car during that time. A paradise for free driving!

Solitude as desired: With its vast, sparsely populated regions, Norway is ideal for finding solitude and peace. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life into the secluded corners of this beautiful country.

Company of your choice: Norway is also suitable for group activities. Whether in a cozy cabin in the forest or a holiday home by the fjord – it is the perfect place to spend quality time with friends and family.

Norway has a relaxed driving environment; there are hardly any speeders or pushers. Eventually everyone gets to a point where waiting at a ferry station is unavoidable.

Overtaking maneuvers or applying pressure in traffic prove useless as everyone meets again at the ferry. Interestingly, motorcyclists are often placed on ferries so that they can be the first to disembark upon arrival.

There is no pack. You would often have to drive many kilometers to find someone you could steal from or cheat. There is almost no crime in Norway. This is also statistically proven.

There are no talkers and posers here. In Norway there is no one listening and no one watching.

Of course, it’s up to you to bring some with you!

In Norway there seems to be a new miracle lurking around every bend. Just when you think that the beauty of the landscape has reached its peak, a new sight opens up that amazes your eyes even further. The journey through this country is a constant succession of natural wonders that seem to surprise you out of nowhere. Rarely do you travel a few kilometers without coming across a sign pointing the way to another unexplored attraction.

That’s exactly why we move around, from place to place, knowing that true discoveries can be found far away from the crowds. We prefer to explore the country on our own rather than disembark at crowded hotspots with thousands of other tourists.

The whole of Norway is dotted with campsites with cabins. We have traveled through Norway a few times and have never had to spend the night in a tent.

The cabins are very cheap and usually include the following: 2-6 beds, refrigerator, 2 hotplates, dishes, pots.

There is a shower at the campsite and a mini supermarket is always around the corner!

So long
Joe
