We have arrived! On Friday morning, we departed from Kristiansand on the Fjord Cat at 6:45 AM. Traveling at nearly 70 km/h, we headed towards Hirtshals and then directly through Denmark to the Lüneburg Heath. We stayed overnight at the Hotel Königstuben and continued our journey home on Saturday. The last two days are always a marathon, covering 1100 kilometers on the highway, but we managed well with regular breaks.
The Norway trip in 2018 was a complete success! We had brilliant weather at all the key routes and sights, except for the Lofoten Islands. The schedule was just right, and we saw everything that was on our list. There wasn’t a single stressful situation, and we had a lot of laughs. Many thanks to Dirk and Matthias! You couldn’t ask for more pleasant travel companions. Matthias seemed to pack and unpack our stuff a hundred times and spoiled us with gourmet food every day. Dirk was always there to help with anything that needed doing! I was completely free to focus on taking pictures, videos, the drone, and the blog. Below, there is a wild mix of video from my phone recordings.
At this point, we say goodbye, and the blog ends. Thank you for the comments and for watching!
But today is not every day, we will be back…no question! We’re heading north again on June 19, 2020, but there are still a few days until then 🙂
