North Cape

We made it! And thanks to the sensational weather, it was easier than expected. The anticipation of our destination made us glide along particularly easily today. When we left the hut this morning it was quite warm, but on the way from 200-300m altitude it was very cool again and we were glad to have an extra layer of clothing with us. There was a real reindeer alert today and you had to be careful not to let one run right in front of your bike. Other motorcyclists had already warned us this morning at the campsite. They had seen an Italian riding his motorcycle into a reindeer and now, unfortunately, had to fly home from soccer like his colleagues. Today we are staying in a nice cabin about 10 km from Nordkapp at Kirkeporten Camping and tomorrow we are heading southwest again. The journey home will take us over the Lofoten Islands and along the Geiranger Fjord down to Kristiansand, where we will cross over to Denmark. So the really interesting places are still to come 🙂
