Since I had always wanted to travel to Norway on a single-cylinder motorcycle, I finally did so in 2018 with a BMW G 650 GS. The bike was a 2009 model and, as expected, caused absolutely no problems during the entire trip.
Traveling with the BMW was comfortable, easy and completely uncomplicated. On long distances, the motorcycle felt light and relaxed to ride. Overtaking, however, was a different story. With around 50 horsepower and full luggage, you definitely think twice before trying to pass a camper van.
Since Matthias once again joined the trip with a support vehicle, there was no real need to overtake everyone on the road. That made the journey a lot more relaxed overall.
