I traveled through Norway in 2024 with the Honda XLV 700 Transalp. The 2012 model accompanied me as a reliable and uncomplicated touring motorcycle — completely original, including the factory luggage system.
The Transalp was extremely well suited for traveling and, above all, very comfortable. It fulfilled every requirement I had for a touring bike and always felt relaxed even on long distances.
With around 60 horsepower, it certainly did not look powerful on paper, but the engine delivered surprisingly strong performance. In real-world riding, it had absolutely no trouble overtaking anything that got in the way.
