The two of us are about to head off into the Carpathians – right into the heart of Romania. On a Yamaha XSR 700 and a BMW RnineT Scrambler, we’ll explore wild mountain landscapes, winding passes, and remote villages where time seems to have stood still.
The route promises adventure, raw nature – and perhaps even a few eerie encounters. In this land of misty forests and ancient ruins, the legends of Vlad the Impaler and bloodthirsty creatures still linger. Who knows what awaits us in the hidden valleys and crumbling castles of the Carpathians?
We’re expecting some off-road tracks and rough roads along the way – so we’ve equipped our bikes with terrain-ready tires. We’re prepared for whatever the journey throws at us.
