Today we continued southbound. It started off flat, but before long we were back in the twisty Carpathians. We thought the curves might be over after yesterday – but once again, Romania proved us wrong.
The roads were beautiful, the views were stunning, and the local wildlife was… active. At one point, we came around a bend and were met by five cows casually walking down the road. Nothing unusual here.
There were some off-road sections, too – including one particularly rough field trail that pushed our bikes (and nerves) to the limit. But hey, that’s what makes a real adventure.
Tonight’s stop is something special: a small traditional farm near Roșia Montană, run by Georgiana Simona and her mother.
The place is called RETREAT CĂSUȚA TRADIȚIONALĂ – and it’s exactly that: a retreat.
We’re sharing the property with four cats, two dogs, two pigs, and a few cows. It’s peaceful, simple, and full of charm – the perfect place to unplug after a long ride.
If you ever want to get away from it all – this is it.
Tomorrow we head further south.
